At Bridge Nutrition we have guided, educated, and supported numerous athletes and teams from many disciplines in their sports nutrition. We take an evidence based, individualised approach to building performance nutrition plans for our athletes to ensure optimum preparation and recovery for training and competition. 

Diet and nutrition significantly affect sport performance. What an athlete drinks and eats before, during, and after training and competition affects health, body mass and body composition, recovery and performance. An optimum diet can help to improve and maximise sport performance.

Sport and Exercise Nutrition applies knowledge of the science of nutrition in order to promote exercise and sport performance. It requires an understanding of the physiological, biochemical and nutritional responses to the physical activity and exercise involved in all forms of sport, and of the special circumstances that occur during training and competition in sports.

BN 6-Week Team Performance Nutrition Pre-season Plan

Pre-season is a vital time in a team’s preparation for the season ahead. Optimum body composition, fuelling and recovery habits, and, injury/sickness prevention can all be accomplished with the right sports nutrition plan.

With this plan all players will get:

  • Full dietary analysis and comprehensive feedback on areas of required improvement
  • 60-minute educational team talk focusing on practical implementation of performance nutrition strategies
  • 30-minute workshops with groups (5-6 players per group) to ensure players are comfortable and confident in their fuel, recovery, and hydration choices
  • Assessment and establishment of performance, competition, and season goals on an individual bases
  • Full body composition, body fat %, and skinfold analysis by an ISAK certified individual at start and end of plan
  • Creation of energy and macronutrient requirements for training, rest, recovery, and competition days
  • Weekly group WhatsApp/email support
  • Final summary report and guidance for continued success at the end of the plan
